Dedicated Tutors With Proper Education
and 20 Years of Tutoring Experience
We have Two Dedicated Tutors here. Both have the passion for teaching and educating our students—Twenty Years of Teaching with Passion and Care. Each of our students has ONE of these two assigned as dedicated Tutor — from beginning to end. Always the same tutor. This way, the student and tutor come to understand and know each other, which is an element essential in teaching our students.
Our Tutors’ Profile:
Mina Khan
Mina Earned her M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois. After completing her Master’s, she proceeded to work on her PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science at UIC. Her PhD concentration had been in the application of Mathematical Algorithms and Routines to solve complex and difficult-to-solve problems.
Parwaiz Khan
Parwaiz, with M.S. in Physics, had a strong background in both mathematics and physics. His idea of pastime has been working on intriguing mathematical problems, theoretical physics, writing, and developing better and more efficient ways & methodologies to impart the knowledge to students.
Providing Student Specific and Dedicated Tutoring
The content and methodology for teaching is student specific— individualized, personalized, and dedicated. Dedicated Tutoring mandates One specific Tutor to teach One Student. It cannot be relegated to rotating part-time employees who don’t take teaching as a profession and a serious responsibility. Here, we provide only Dedicated, Exclusive, superbly Individualized, and Private Tutoring to our students.
Methodology and Teaching Philosophy
Our Methodology of tutoring is the result of 20 years of dedication and hard work perfecting a system of teaching that is focussed on emphasizing and explaining the underlying concepts, reasoning, and creating in students enthusiasm for learning.
Back in 1998, after getting frustrated and disappointed with the major commercialized tutoring services, we took upon ourselves the task of tutoring our only son. Later on, we expanded our tutoring to his classmates in the Park Ridge School District—one of the most prestigious school districts in Illinois (USA).
After earning the applauds of the parents and students over the next two years, we expanded to provide our tutoring services to students all over the Chicagoland area in Illinois.
As part of our effort to develop a highly engaging and effective teaching system for tutoring, we reviewed and studied the teaching system and methodologies of countries with higher standards of education—from Finland to Singapore, incorporating the best from all the sources.
The central theme in the development of our teaching system is to encourage a student’s natural curiosity and desire to learn and to promote confidence in their knowledge and abilities to apply math as a tool to solve a given problem.
Now—more than 20 years later, we have hundreds of some very successful students—most of them grown-up professionals now, as testimonials to the success of our tutoring system and our dedication to teaching.
Since 2015, we have taken our tutoring Online to tutor our students all across the world—with the same vigor, dedication, and passion for teaching.
Major Highlights of Our Tutoring Methodology
- One Tutor Dedicated to Each Student — Always the same Tutor. It takes time for the tutor and student to really come to understand each other and form a bond of mutual trust. For teaching to be effective, a student must have one-and-the-same tutor exclusively assigned to her/him.
- Student Specific — Tutoring Methodology, Style, and Content tailored to the need of each individual student. The Teaching Method is interactive, engaging and energizing.
- Specific to Student’s School and Teacher — Beside each school adopting a different textbook and curriculum, teachers have their own ways of working on problems, and they demand compliance to their ways in doing the homework and tests — Teaching Lessons are, therefore, have to be very much individualized for each student.
To achieve this objective, we keep track of the course work at the student’s Primary School and make sure that the School’s curriculum is covered. - Emphasis on Concepts — Prescriptive practice examples are used to thoroughly explain the underlying Rules and Concepts — Solution Methodology dissected and evaluated. Students are encouraged to come up with an alternative method to solve a given problem.
- It is Real Teaching — Dedicated, One-to-One, and Individualized.
Student Specific, Intense, and Focused Tutoring
What we provide is Private and Student Specific tutoring. It is NOT a commercialized cookie-cutter operation. We teach our students with focus, care, and passion.
Tutoring our Students in this manner is very demanding — it consumes a lot of Time and Energy. On an average, we assign Two hours of work for each One hour of in-class time with the student.
With this manner of intense and focused Tutoring–among TWO of us, we can enroll no more than 12 students.

Math—Elegance in Simplicity
Mathematics — at its core — is comprised of simple, logical and straightforward concepts and rules that are natural for our human brains to grasp. These very simple concepts build on top of one another to give us math that seems very complicated and complex. But, the base of all the complex branches of math rests on the same simple rules and concepts that are so easy to grasp.
Once students fully understand the underlying concepts and natural rules that form the foundation of math, they start appreciating the inherent truth and beauty in math and love to play with it. Once working with math becomes fun for them the rest, of course, is easy.
The Pascal Triangle
Pascal Triangle is pure fun. It helps us find Binomial Coefficients, and the Probability of complementary events – the easy way.
The Binomial Expansion
The Algebra way – simple and elegant.
The Binomials
A Geometric Representation
Even though we cannot visualize the higher degree dimensions, a geometric decomposition gives us some ‘visual’ to the Binomial Expansion.
The Unit Circle
An easy way to remember the Trigonometry ratios.
The Good Old Quadratic Formula
The Quadratic Formula seems confusing to many students, but once explained properly, they get very comfortable with it.
Math || A Human Construct
Mathematics - simply put - is our way of measuring and quantifying the “things” around us. It is a tool that helps us clarify and understand concepts, ideas and objects. It is convenient and, at the same time, very powerful.
When it comes to teaching Math to students, we have to explain to them the logic involved in each of its progressive steps. They should understand the reasoning and methodology involved in each step taken to solve a problem.
Once they come to understand the basic concepts and reasoning behind the solution methodology, they become comfortable with it and their natural curiosity guides them to play with math.
